There are now over 700 collection points across Australia, across five States and Territories. This provides soft plastics collection access to almost 70% of Australians. Collection sites include stores in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle. You can find participating Woolworths locations here:
In June 2025, the AFGC completed it’s trials and pilots under the NPRS program, which incorporated local councils undertaking soft plastic kerbside collections across nine (9) council areas in NSW, SA and VIC.
On 1 July 2025, SPSA commenced kerbside commercialisation activities in the same nine (9) councils. The ACCC authorisation has now occurred, and SPSA expects to implement a broader kerbside program, in conjunction with drop-off locations, across Australia.
